The “Equitable and Ethical Global Health Partnerships Initiative” was launched in early 2022 by a diverse group of faculty and administrators in the UCSF School of Medicine to identify and build the structures to address the institutional and cultural changes needed to improve equity in the partnerships that are core to our international research enterprise. This initiative is both timely and necessary: healthy global partnerships will be required for UCSF to achieve its mission of “advancing health worldwide” and for our global health research enterprise to continue to grow and thrive.
As part of this partnership, we have launched a global health consultation service, which includes consultations on building trust, authorship practices, implementing an equity toolkit, planning community-engaged dissemination activities, and ensuring transparency with budgeting and financial management for our global health partnerships. For questions about this service, please contact [email protected].
This service is free for the entire consultation period.
